“While in college, I discovered my love for landscapes. I grew up in the small town of Jonesville NC. From my backyard, I had access to the most beautiful mountain view in all of Yadkin County (totally unbiased!) Because I was surrounded by mountains growing up, it fostered my love for nature. I seek to visit new hiking trails, mountain ranges and fields because that is when I am most inspired to paint! No joke, it’s like an adrenaline rush.”

Most embarrassing moment?
Christina: “Our garter toss!! But not for the normal reasons – I forgot my real garter at the cabin we were getting ready in. My awesome bridesmaids found me a piece of ribbon and made a makeshift garter that we tied onto my leg. When Ben went to retrieve it, it’d already begun to untie and made his retrieval 10x harder!”

Back in April, I had the opportunity to photograph 21 of the most talented, beautiful and kind spirits in our wedding professional community here in the High Country. Only a few had a I met before so many new friendships were made. Each person met with me for 10 minutes at the HOW Space in Downtown Boone, posing against the prettiest little scene set up by my dear friend Paige Ulmer of The Laurel Collective. To say that the day was one, big ongoing party is an understatement. I had the absolute best time getting to meet and know these ladies better outside of their work. So thankful for our sweet and supportive community here in the High Country! I want to invite you to learn more about these incredible women below and maybe even contact them to make your big day absolutely perfect!

“While dating, we took a lot of trips to Surf City Beach and the mountains. I love both but Alex prefers the mountains. Originally we planned a beach wedding and due to the hurricane messing up the venue, we moved it to the mountains just 6 weeks before the wedding and had to change the original date from November 3, 2018 to November 4, 2018. We had to replan everything including finding new vendors. Thankfully everything came together quickly and smoothly. It was clear that God just had other plans for our special day and it couldn’t have turned out anymore perfect. The mountain views in the background with the fall colors was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful.”
