Adam: “Pretty sure Kris didn’t notice me as early as I noticed her. And she was certainly too cute for me to form any intentions on, so it forced us to just be friends. In its own way it was a blessing. I guess the first thing we really did together was short-term babysitting. Not that we were co-entrusted with children, but Brian and Alex trusted Kris enough to watch after their two kids and also make sure I didn’t get into any trouble while they weren’t looking. Certainly only one of us had diaper bag authorization (and that was just fine with me). From the moment we had an inkling of interest, the tone changed rapidly. I was utterly enthralled. Kris had already decided to move to Montana and make a fresh start, so our conversations were wide-ranging and intense. She seemed like an adventurer (she isn’t) and I seemed self-assured and interesting (I’m not). But both of us had an idea of a new ‘me’ and were on a path. I don’t think either of us had an idea those paths were going to line up so quickly. Laughs, tears, puzzled looks, embarrassing revelations…our time talking and visiting spanned the gamut of relationship interactions super quickly.”

Tell me any funny story involving the two of you.
Megan: “On our honeymoon in Colorado, we spent the whole day driving through the Rocky Mountain National Park and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! We saw tons of wildlife, chipmunks literally everywhere and a herd of Elk (the Bull had HUGE antlers and makes a pretty interesting sound, side note). That night, we went to pick up some food down the street from our cabin and encountered two huge raccoons. I wouldn’t say I’m usually afraid of raccoons, but they weren’t very timid and got pretty close to us. They also looked pretty mangy, not like the raccoons we usually see around these parts! So they followed us, with food in hand, for a little while and we were both a little on edge. As we were walking by a mailbox, just a few yards from our cabin, we heard a rattling coming from the grass and we both immediately took off running! NOOOO way are we going to encounter raccoons and a rattlesnake. Nope, nope, nope. It wasn’t until we crossed the street and stopped that we heard the rattling change to a ‘tch-tch-tch-tch’ and realized it was a sprinkler. We ran for our lives over a sprinkler. This was also witnessed by about 10-15 people at a neighboring house – super embarrassing!”

Jacob: “The things I love most about Caroline are her work ethic, drive, determination, selflessness, faith, and personality. I admire her drive and determination when it comes to her passion of the medical field and her constant concern and care for others; at work and everywhere else in between. I appreciate and admire her faith, honestly, and positive attitude about life in general as well. Most of all though, her acceptance of who I am and constant encouragement and support for all of my endeavors is what makes us special. She ‘gets me,’ from personality to lifestyle to hobbies, and I’ll never take that for granted.”
