A Classic Summer Wedding at Stoneleigh Estate | Stanleytown, VA
How did you two meet?
Katherine: “Our story has lots of twists and turns! We met back in college through his parents, went on one date to Yamato’s (LOL) and then I didn’t really have any interest after that. Years later we re-connected in Charlotte around last call at a bar…it’s quite the long drawn out story….but the rest is history :)”
What was it like early in your relationship?
Katherine: “We have always just been very laid back. We love to laugh and our relationship just felt comfortable from day one. We both enjoy our own things independently with our friends and then of course share similar interests on other things as well.”
“They told me it was a house-warming party for them so I ‘planned’ the party.”
Proposal Story?
Katherine: “James proposed in Stacey and Daniel’s backyard (twin sister & fiance). They told me it was a house-warming party for them so I ‘planned’ the party. It was their way of making sure everyone was there for the proposal!”
Name one thing you love about each other:
James: “I love how thoughtful Katherine is.”
Katherine: “I love how caring James is for everyone in his life.”
Any funny stories?
Katherine: “Oh gosh, there are too many to tell. I think an on-going joke that defines our relationship is, Gerald. Gerald is my make-believe boyfriend. Basically, when I work late nights, James asked if I enjoyed my night out with Gerald….sometimes James even goes out with Gerald lol!”
