Stevie & Andy

A Colorful Summer Wedding at the Inn at Crestwood | Blowing Rock, NC

How did you two meet?

Stevie: “In October 2015, Andy reconnected with a childhood friend, Corey, from Pennsylvania after landing his dream job in Charlotte. Coincidentally, Corey and I were working at the same elementary school that year and formed a friendship. In January, we were both invited to Corey’s surprise birthday party and the rest is history! Andy claims to have fallen head-over-heels in love the second he saw me!”

“I wanted her more than anything I’ve ever wanted.”

What was it like early in your relationship?

Stevie: “It’s easy to say we were both obsessed with one another almost immediately. Andy wanted the first date to be romantic and asked if we could go to dinner. However, being the anxious person we have all grown to love, I requested our first date night consist of a large pizza and Netflix- how perfect! When Andy showed up with pizza and Coke, I knew he was the one. It’s safe to assume we still enjoy similar date nights weekly!”
Andy: “Hot and heavy! It was like being star-struck every time I met up with her. My showers got longer, I spent more time at the gym and I would buy new clothes only if I knew I was going to see her. I wanted her more than anything I’ve ever wanted.”

How long have you been together?

978 days. (2 years, 8 months)

“I love that Andy is more than I deserve … I also love that we share the same guilty pleasure for Teen Mom and Toddlers and Tiaras.”

Name one thing you love about each other.

Stevie: “I love that Andy is more than I deserve. He is the most caring, patient and loving man. I thank God every day for allowing him to be my better half. I also love that we share the same guilty pleasure for Teen Mom and Toddlers and Tiaras.

Andy: “Besides having the Big Dipper constellation on her perfect jawline? She makes me want to be better at everything. From board games to my career, I always want to impress her.”

Who proposed? How did they do it?

Stevie: On July 28, 2017, Andy drove to South Mountain and hid quotes for me to find from all of my favorite books, movies, and TV shows along with a hiking trail. Things didn’t go as planned that night, and Andy wound up hiding the quotes in the dark during a storm. The next day, we drove over to the mountain to enjoy a hike that would change our lives forever. Andy hired a photographer to capture the perfect moment.  When I opened the last quote under the waterfall, Andy asked me to be his wife and I said “yesh”!!!

“We will eventually have enough babies to form a basketball team but we are not in a hurry!”

What’s next for the two of you?

Stevie: “We are looking forward to buying a house in the country. We will eventually have enough babies to form a basketball team but we are not in a hurry! I also look forward to bringing in every stray animal she can find, even if it does drive Andy crazy!”

Any funny stories?

Stevie: “On our first group date, we played pool and Andy made 6 balls in a row. He kept missing the last one on purpose until I made the rest of mine. I convinced myself that I beat him for years now and he’s okay with that :)”

Thanks to everyone who made this day possible!
